The high setting will shield you from everything but your music. The earcups have touch-sensitive controls that take some time to become familiar with. Swiping upwards or downwards on the pad regulates the volume, and tapping or shifting left or right alters the track. You can also double-tap to play a pause or answer a call. It takes some time to become familiar with this system but once you are, you will find it very useful.
